Overview

MontaVista's IPP Program is designed to provide integrated platform providers with additional support to bring their hardware products to market bundled with commercial-grade MontaVista Linux. By taking advantage of this program, platform providers can provide customers complete pre-packaged offerings combining their hardware with supported, "ready to boot" Linux solutions.

Program Benefits

The MontaVista IPP Program offers a number of benefits:

• Enables MontaVista partners to distribute integrated hardware and Linux solutions to customers for immediate evaluation
• Reduces risk and improves ease of use for combined hardware/software solution customers while reducing their overall cost of ownership
• Entitles partners to ship MontaVista Professional Edition or MontaVista Carrier Grade Edition bundled with their hardware platform
• Entitles partner to third level MontaVista support for the appropriate version of MontaVista Linux and corresponding MontaVista Reference LSP (first and second levels of support the responsibility of the partner)
• Exclusive; only available to MontaVista partners

Program Requirements

The following criteria are required for members of the MontaVista IPP Program:

• Partners must pay a runtime fee to MontaVista for each bundled platform shipped
• MontaVista provides support only for feature states and drivers listed in the IPP Profile
• Available only to MontaVista LSPs and Partner Certified LSPs
